Blue themed parties are crisp, clean, classic and elegant.
I have compiled a lot of blue wedding and pary pictures for you. Many of the blue themed photos and table settings come from The Knot and Martha Stewart other photos come from creative blogs or my own parties and events and I have tried to give credit when I know where the photos came from. I love the deep midnight blue wedding in these photos. The color says regal, the party look says classy. I would love a reason to wear this blue dress to a cocktail party or gala.
The blue, white, and yellow nautical theme wedding or nautical party is so classic and elegant. Deep navy blue and crisp white shown here with pops of yellow set the stage for a wonderful event. The bees wax candle gives texture to the table setting as does the rope. I love the mans vest that is shown.
The teal blue and dark blue shown in some of the photos below remind me of the gem stone ring I used to play dress up with, as a child, ( very similar to the blue gem photo below )

Blue dye from the grocery store is a great product to use Squeeze some drops into water, fresh cut the stems of white florwers such as carnations, roses, and daisies. can be dyed blue (I used to do carnations all of the time). Use blue marbles inside clear flower vases. Hanging blue curtains or sheers can turn natural sunlight a shade of blue in the room. Spotlights and lights outside can be covered in blue plastic (non-flamable only) to help set the mood. Slipcover your furniture with blue throws and pillows. Blue candles can add color and scent. Put bowls of blue fish out on the tables.
Guest should be requested to wear all blue on their blue invitations. Hand out Blue Raspberry lollipops as favors that turn mouths blue! Give out blue leis for a tropical touch. You can also add blue beach balls and blue sidewalk chalk for games to keep kids busy. Then the adults can have a blue paintball fight with blue bandanas to determine teams. Have people guess how many blue jelly beans are in a jar for blue prizes
Guests can enjoy blueberries and drinks with blueberry juice. Blue curacao adds flavor to both non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks. Blue martinis, blue hurricanes, blue margharitas.
