The tour illustrates how historic homes can be sensitively updated or how historic kitchens can be incorporated into everyday life. You may visit the homes at your own pace. There will be trained docents available to answer questions and educate you about the home’s history. Several of the homes will host local chefs and you can taste some of their delicious food along the way.

Enjoy the Sights of the Charles River Reservation on a Bike Tour with the Boston Center for Adult Education
Summer has arrived, bringing with it sunny days, warm nights, and nostalgia for the less stressful days of childhood summers. You find yourself yearning for those afternoons spent with friends, biking around, swimming and rolling your eyes as your mother incessantly reminded you about applying sunscreen. Those glory days are long gone, your grubby sneakers replaced with shiny loafers, your ripped shorts with a tailored suit. Or are they…
The Boston Center for Adult Education (BCAE) invites you and your friends (or even co-workers) to reclaim your youth in a grown-up way with their “Urban Bike Tour: Explore the Charles River Reservation.” This is the perfect opportunity to embrace the summer like you did an unnamed number of years ago: biking on 4-6 miles of both the paved and unmarked trails of the Reservation on a late summer afternoon.
After the ride, feel free to join your biking comrades for a complimentary appetizer and a beer or two (hey, no need to hide it from Mom now) at John Harvard’s Brew Pub in Harvard Square.
Don’t miss this chance to take advantage of your inner child and beautiful city on Friday, July 23, 2010 from 6:00PM-8:30PM for a night of fun, friends and fantastic cuisine.
WHERE: Meet Tim Post and the rest of your tour group in front of the Harvard Square Red Line subway station next to the information kiosk.
WHEN: Friday, July 23, 2010 from 6:00PM - 8:30 PM
COST: $25.00
